Okcheon Old Village
A village where cultural heritage comes alive
It is a street rich in cultural heritage, with sites such as Jeong Ji-yong's birthplace, Okcheon Hyanggyo (Confucian school), Okjusa Temple, and Yuk Yeong-su's birthplace. In conjunction with the Okcheon Traditional Culture Experience Center, Ji-yong Literature Park, and Gyodong Ecological Wetland, the village is transforming into a place where traditional and modern civilization harmonize. With plenty of excellent restaurants and cafes, Okcheon is growing as a center of tourism. This old village served as the former downtown area of Okcheon, where Okcheon-gun Office was located during the Joseon dynasty.
